This watercolor painting honors the female Orioles who weave their nests from strands of grasses and plants before she can lay her eggs. Lois Mountz has enjoyed the Orioles who visit their jelly feeder all summer long.
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
