Lois created this painting while on a Hocking Hills (in Ohio) vacation in the summer of 2016. A mushroom growing outside the cabin on the hillside was the impetus to do this painting.
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
