Eagles fascinate me - how great it would be to soar high in the sky far above the trees and rivers below. Ohio is proud to have eagles coming back to nest here. We have a pair just 15 miles from us at a small lake. They are beautiful, majestic birds and deserve to be used as one of our national symbols. This is a large painting which I painted especially for the well known Yankee Peddler Show at Canal Fulton, OH a few years ago. The canvas could be removed from the stretcher bars and rolled for ease in shipping.
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
