I created this still life with the Texas Star quilt as the base. The Uncle Sam nutcracker I had photographed at the Spread Eagle Bed and Breakfast in Hanoverton, Ohio. (You must go there when you come to Ohio.) This painting would look great in an Americana themed home.
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
