This still life reminds me of all the canning my mother and grandmother did when I was a little girl. Grandma also had a purple lilac bush which was so fragrant in the springtime. This is a watercolor on darches rag paper.
About Lois Mountz
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
