Artist's Description
We saw these lovely blossoms at the Cleveland Home and Flower Show and I couldn't resist doing a painting of my impressions of them. Tulips do 'spring forth' in the early spring when you least expect them. It is painted in watercolor on darches watercolor paper.
About Lois Mountz
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
