Artist's Description
This bridge has been painted by countless artists. It is located between Lisbon and Salem, Ohio and was recently restored. Soon after restoration, someone tried to set it on fire, but due to flame retardant treatment of the new beams, it just smoldered until someone happened by and extinguished it. This bridge was known as The Mountz Bridge when it was build by Jeremiah Mountz who was my husbands great-great- grandfather.The advertisement on the end if for Phillips Drug Store which was in Lisbon, Ohio.
About Lois Mountz
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
