Artist's Description
This painting was so much fun to do. I dropped alcohol into the wet watercolor which caused little circles and shapes to form. From these I fashioned the flowers you see in the painting. No drawing was done ahead of time. It is a very spontaneous way to create. It's one of my favorite paintings, but I have so many paintings I have to part with some from time to time.
About Lois Mountz
Lois Getz Mountz has shown her works throughout the Ohio area for many years and has participated at prestigious shows from Virginia Beach, Va to Florida. Lois has won numerous awards through the years and has had many one-woman shows as well. She works in all painting media, but especially loves watercolors and oils. Most of her works are realistic but she has also painted many more contemporary 'scapes'. Lois is a retired church organist.
